1. disconnect the alternator, clear the codes and recheck operation. if the code does not return, suspect a bad diode in the alternator. 2. if the code does return monitor the camshaft position sensor signal with everything connected looking for a good clean AC voltage sine wave . there should be no significant voltage ( any more than about 100mv) between the signals. We have done two mustangs and both of them were alternator problem. But i think you should change the sensor first since they are not that expensive.
